In the Çankaya district of Ankara, emergency teams were dispatched to the scene around 18:05 after receiving a report of an attempted suicide.

Upon entering the house, the teams found the lifeless body of Mehmet Kürşat Aksu in the kitchen. It was determined that the bathroom door had been broken, and Ahmet Yusuf Aksu was found dead in the bathtub with a gunshot wound to the head, with the weapon beside him.

THEY WERE REPORTEDLY ESTRANGED FOR A LONG TIME

In an interview with the mother of the deceased brothers, S.A., she stated that she had left the house around 15:30 to go shopping and that both of her sons were at home. The mother, noting that her two sons had been estranged for a long time, said that she returned home around 18:00, screamed after seeing her son Mehmet Kürşat Aksu covered in blood, and with the help of neighbors, broke down the locked bathroom door and discovered the lifeless body of her other son, Ahmet Yusuf Aksu.

Furthermore, it was determined that the weapon used in the incident was a registered firearm licensed to Ahmet Yusuf Aksu.
