He left a note pretending to be kidnapped and demanded a ransom from his father! It ended badly...

Tekirdağ's Çorlu district, a person who demanded a ransom from his father by leaving a note claiming he had been kidnapped has been caught. N.A., a resident of the district, filed a missing person report with the Çorlu Police Department after being unable to reach his son, E.A., for some time and fearing for his life.

Upon returning home later, N.A. found a note in the house stating that his son had been kidnapped and would be killed if 300 thousand liras were not brought to the specified address. Father N.A. went to the police and explained the situation. Under extensive security measures taken by the Public Security Bureau teams, the father left the money at the requested location.

A short while later, the son, E.A., who arrived at the scene to collect the money, was taken into custody by the teams. In his statement at the police station, E.A. confessed that he had slipped the ransom note under the door while his father was at the police station filing the missing person report.

Claiming that he had run away from home because he could not pay his debts, E.A. said he planned to pay off his debts with the money he would receive. After the procedures at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse and was released by the duty magistrate pending trial.
