He praised him in the past: The pro-government journalist whose report Kılıçdaroğlu denied stands by his story!
Fatih Atik, a journalist close to the government who claimed that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Neither İmamoğlu nor Yavaş nor anyone else; the CHP must determine a new candidate," reacted to Kılıçdaroğlu after his report was denied.
Fatih Atik, the Ankara Representative for the pro-government TGRT Haber, claimed that the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, said, "Neither İmamoğlu nor Yavaş nor anyone else; the CHP must determine a new candidate."
While the Kılıçdaroğlu camp denied this report, which dominated the agenda, Fatih Atik stated that he stands by his story and noted the following:
"Mr. Kemal may have denied it, but let me say that I stand completely behind my report and the information I provided."
Atik spoke as follows on his program on TGRT Haber:
“I have interviewed Mr. Kemal before; it even made the headlines. He had said, 'I would come back and manage it just as I managed it for 13 years.'
When we report such news, they thank us, including him, but when I reported on this topic, we did so after verifying the information. I have been a journalist in Ankara for a long time. I know very well how such news is produced.
When we report positive news about them, they thank us, and there is nothing negative in this report either. I do not consider it a very correct attitude to react this way today and, despite it being within his knowledge, to resort to a denial due to political reactions and reactions from citizens.”
KILIÇDAROĞLU HAD PRAISED ATİK IN THE PAST
In a previous interview, Kılıçdaroğlu had said the following about Fatih Atik, whose report he now denies: "I follow the commentary on TGRT Haber with appreciation. I thank you for your objective journalism."
