METU graduate Yunus Emre Sargut was accepted into a PhD program at a university in the US, but his visa was denied. Saddened by the visa rejection, Sargut had given private lessons to save money to attend the school he planned to go to.
METU Physics department graduate Yunus Emre Sargut, who graduated with a 3.48 GPA, was accepted into a PhD programat a university in the US, but his visa was denied.
Sharing an emotional post on social media following the visa rejection, Sargut said, "All my hard work, every thing I did went to waste. They didn't grant the visa. For awhile, from Twitter and every from withdrawing" he reacted.
