Health Minister Koca's statement on the Turkey-Palestine Friendship Hospital, which has ceased operations

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca stated, "We are ready to provide all necessary support for the transfer to our country, as soon as possible and through the necessary coordination, of other pediatric and adult intensive care patients in Gaza who are in need and evaluated as medically suitable."

''DESPITE THE CALLS''

Minister Koca made a statement regarding Gaza on his social media account.

Expressing that the international community must choose between knowingly abandoning patients to death and saving their lives, Koca said, "The Turkish-Palestinian Friendship Hospital operating in Gaza was forced to completely cease its operations yesterday due to the depletion of its fuel and the ongoing attacks by Israel. Despite all our warnings and calls to the relevant institutions and the international community."

''IS THERE ANYONE WHO SAYS 'I CAN TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS'?''

Koca continued his statement as follows:

"As Turkey, we are ready to provide all support for the continuation of treatment for cancer patients who were forced to be discharged from the hospital because there were no resources left, and for the transfer to our country, through the necessary coordination, of other pediatric and adult intensive care patients in Gaza who are in need and evaluated as medically suitable. We expect the international community and relevant institutions to respond to our call and take action as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the international community and relevant institutions have not taken sufficient initiatives to prevent the attacks on the hospital. Now, saving the lives of patients is an unavoidable duty. The only option other than saving the patients' lives is to knowingly abandon the patients to death. Is there anyone who says 'I can take responsibility for this'?"
