Health Minister Memişoğlu meets with his Syrian counterpart
Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu held a meeting with Syria's new Minister of Health, Mahir Şara. During the meeting, Minister Memişoğlu stated that Turkey would provide support to Syria regarding the reconstruction and rehabilitation of its healthcare system, as well as in the areas of medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.

In a statement regarding the meeting, the Ministry of Health said, "Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu held a phone call with Syria's new Minister of Health, Mahir Şara.
It was announced that in the new era in which Syria has attained its freedom, the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Health will provide support to Syria in the field of healthcare.
It was reported that support will be provided for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the healthcare system, as well as for medical equipment and pharmaceuticals," the statement read.
