Healthcare access measures in earthquake zone extended until April 30, 2024

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that the measures implemented for healthcare access in the region following the February 6 earthquakes have been extended until April 30, 2024.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, in a post on his social media account, stated: "Alleviating the hardships of our citizens affected by the February 6 earthquakes and making their lives easier is our most important agenda item. We will continue to work until our people find comfort and our cities are completely rebuilt. The duration of the measures implemented for healthcare access for our citizens living in the disaster zone has been extended until April 30, 2024."

NO PARTICIPATION FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR HEALTHCARE SERVICES

Işıkhan noted that no participation fee will be charged for citizens benefiting from healthcare services, and continued as follows:

"In the provinces of Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya, as well as the İslahiye and Nurdağı districts of Gaziantep province; provided that they apply to healthcare providers contracted with the Institution and obtain a natural disaster provision, no participation fee will be charged to General Health Insurance holders and their dependents for 'physician and dentist examinations in outpatient treatment, medical supplies, and medications provided in outpatient treatment.'"
