Hearing date for CHP convention lawsuit changed
The Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance has postponed the next hearing of the lawsuit seeking the annulment of the CHP's ordinary and extraordinary conventions from September 8, 2025, to September 15, 2025, upon the request of the CHP's lawyer.
The hearing for the lawsuit filed for the annulment of the CHP's 38th Ordinary Convention and the removal of authorized boards from office was held on June 30 at the Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance.
The court had previously adjourned the case to September 8, ruling that it would await the finalization of the decision of lack of jurisdiction issued in the case related to the convention lawsuit.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel had stated in his remarks, “The date of the convention lawsuit could be brought forward or postponed to a later date.”
The Ankara 42nd Civil Court of First Instance evaluated the request by CHP lawyers to change the hearing date. The court decided to postpone the hearing from September 8 to September 15.
