Heartwarming note to AFAD from children affected by Bitlis earthquake
Children who were frightened and panicked during yesterday's earthquake in Bitlis left a heartwarming note on an AFAD vehicle. The note read, "Don't go, protect us."
The 4.5-magnitude earthquake that occurred yesterday at 14:50, with its epicenter in the village of Yumrukaya in the Tatvan district, caused fear and panic. Children living in the village left a note for the AFAD teams who arrived in the village for damage assessment, which contained the message, "Don't go, protect us."

After completing their work in Yumrukaya village, the AFAD teams noticed a note left on the vehicle window as they were preparing to depart. The note, signed with the names Medine, Tuğçe, and Duygu, read, "AFAD brother, there is an earthquake. That's why don't go, protect us. We were very scared yesterday. With love, AFAD brother."
