The Forecast and Warning Center of the 15th Regional Directorate of Meteorology has issued a heavy rainfall warning for certain provinces in Southeastern Anatolia for Monday, October 12.
According to the latest assessments, intermittent and locally heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected in the vicinity of Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, Mardin, and Batman.
The statement urged citizens to be cautious and take precautions against potential negative impacts such as flash floods, water accumulation, lightning strikes, local hail, strong winds during precipitation, and disruptions to transportation.
Authorities emphasized that measures should be taken against risks that may occur in stream beds, roads where water accumulation may form, and open areas, especially during the hours when the rainfall will be most effective.
