Her siblings were released: Prosecutor also requested Dilan Polat's release
In the money laundering investigation involving the Dilan and Engin Polat couple, 11 suspects, including Sıla Doğu and Can Doğu, were released this morning. It was also learned that the prosecutor had requested Dilan Polat's release as well. However, the Criminal Court of Peace rejected the prosecutor's request, stating that the expected reports had not yet been prepared.
The Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation into Engin Polat and Dilan Polat for the crimes of "establishing an organization for the purpose of committing a crime," "prevention of laundering proceeds of crime," "laundering assets derived from crime," and "violation of tax laws."
The suspects, including Dilan and Engin Polat, were arrested and sent to prison on November 5, 2023.
A monthly detention review was conducted at the 4th Criminal Court of Peace.
The court ruled for the continued detention of Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, Sezgin Polat, Ahmet Gün, and Alper Kürşat Polat, while ruling that 11 detainees, including Sıla Doğu and Can Doğu, should be tried without detention.
PROSECUTOR HAD REQUESTED "RELEASE"
On the other hand, the investigation prosecutor, whose opinion was sought for the detention review, also requested that Dilan Polat be released.
However, the Criminal Court of Peace rejected the prosecutor's release request, stating that the expected reports had not yet been prepared.
