Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem's nephew killed in Israeli strikes

The Israeli army announced that Ali Yusuf Harshi, the nephew and secretary of Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut yesterday.

The Reuters news agency initially reported that the Israeli army claimed Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem had been killed. However, a few minutes later, Reuters issued a correction, stating that only Qassem's nephew and secretary, Harshi, had been killed.

Hezbollah has not yet released a statement on the matter.

The Israeli army stated, "We have neutralized Ali Yusuf Harshi, the personal secretary and nephew of Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem." 

"WE WILL NOT SURRENDER TO THE ENEMY"

Following the increase in Israeli attacks on Lebanon after the ceasefire, Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem made his first statement since the start of US and Israeli attacks on Iran. Qassem stated that they would resist Israeli-US aggression and would not surrender. Expressing that Israel's recent attacks on Lebanon were planned, Qassem said, "We are facing aggression. Our option is to resist this, no matter what sacrifices are required, and not to surrender. We will not hesitate to defend our rights and we will not surrender to the enemy. We will fight against the aggression; this is a vital defense for us and will continue until we achieve our goals." Meanwhile, Hezbollah engaged in clashes with Israeli forces near the city of Khiam in southern Lebanon today.

Hezbollah has not yet released a statement on the matter
