High school student attacks teacher with a knife in Büyükçekmece: Attacker arrived at school in military camouflage

A male student, who is alleged to have psychological issues, wounded a female vice principal by stabbing her in the throat. The attack took place at a vocational high school in Büyükçekmece.

While the child was taken into custody after the incident, the teacher who was attacked filed a complaint against the student.

The incident occurred in the morning hours at a vocational high school in Kumburgaz, Büyükçekmece. According to the information obtained, the 16-year-old male student, identified as B.Y.E., came to the vice principal's office and, under the pretext of looking at something on the computer, wounded the female vice principal in the throat with a knife.

While the woman, covered in blood, screamed for help, she also managed to grab the knife in the child's hand to prevent a second strike. After the incident, the child fled the school. The vice principal, who suffered injuries to her throat and hand, was taken to the hospital by private vehicle with the help of those nearby.

STUDENT WHO ATTACKED HIS TEACHER TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

A total of 5 stitches were applied due to the wounds on her throat and hand. Police teams who arrived at the scene shortly after took the child into custody at the location where he was hiding.

The moments when B.Y.E. fled the school after the incident were captured on security cameras. In the footage, it was seen that B.Y.E. was wearing military-style camouflage pants. It was learned that the child, who had previously received psychological treatment at a private hospital, is still undergoing processing at the police station, while the female vice principal was discharged after receiving treatment at the hospital.

It was learned that the student, whose statement was taken, had spoken with the vice principal to have his absences erased, but carried out the attack after receiving a negative response.

The attacking student was arrested after his statement was taken and referred to the courthouse.
