Highway closed following collision between semi-truck and truck
A semi-truck and a truck collided on the Düzce section of the Anatolian Highway. While the Istanbul-bound direction of the highway was closed to traffic, efforts to clear the road were captured by drone.
The accident occurred on the Kaynaşlı section of the Anatolian Highway, one of Turkey's most important transit points. According to the information received, the potato-laden truck with license plate 51 LA 746, driven by Yusuf Öztürk, which was traveling from the Bolu Mountain Tunnel towards Istanbul, collided with the semi-truck with license plate 06 DT 6746, driven by Enes Solmaz, who was traveling in the same direction, and overturned.

Due to the accident, the Istanbul-bound direction was closed to traffic. Health, police, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region.

The injured were extracted from where they were trapped by fire department crews and handed over to medical teams. Meanwhile, vehicles on the route were turned back and diverted from the Abant toll booths.

The injured were taken to hospitals in Düzce by ambulance. The efforts to remove the truck and semi-truck from the road, which was closed due to the accident, were captured by drone from the air.
