During the match played between Ankaragücü and Rizespor last night, which ended in a 1-1 draw, Ankaragücü President Faruk Koca attacked referee Halil Umut Meler.

Following the attack, Halil Umut Meler was taken to the hospital, where bleeding and a fracture were detected around his left eye.

TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi announced that all leagues have been postponed indefinitely following the attack.

The experienced manager revealed that during his last stint at Ankaragücü in 2021, President Faruk Koca had also attacked him. The 63-year-old experienced manager stated, "I swallowed it at the time and didn't disclose it, but I am disclosing it now.
