His name had appeared in the Seçil Erzan investigation: Critical development regarding Hakan Ateş!

Hakan Ateş, the former General Manager of Denizbank, is stepping down from his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Denizbank Wien AG, the bank's European headquarters. It is not yet clear who will replace Ateş, who is expected to leave his post in February.

The name of Hakan Ateş, who left his position as General Manager of Denizbank in December of last year, had come to the fore in the investigation into Seçil Erzan, who is being tried on allegations of defrauding 24 people, including many well-known figures from the world of football, with the promise of high-yield private funds.

HIS NAME HAD APPEARED IN THE SEÇİL ERZAN INVESTIGATION

In the Seçil Erzan investigation, victims including names such as Fatih Terim, Arda Turan, Fernando Muslera, and Emre Belözoğlu had filed complaints, claiming they had suffered a total loss of 35 million dollars.

It was alleged that Hakan Ateş and his deputy Mehmet Aydoğdu were accomplices to Erzan during this process, and a lawsuit was filed against the pair demanding prison sentences ranging from 72 to 240 years. However, the court did not accept the indictment prepared by the prosecutor's office.

Nevertheless, the investigation being conducted by the Austrian Central Bank in Europe continues.
