WHO IS CİHAN KOLİVAR?
Cihan Kolivar was born in Rize in 1957. In his professional life, he turned to the bakery and bread production sector. He served as the Chairman of the Bread Producers Union.
Bread Producers Union Chairman Cihan Kolivar had said during a television program he attended in 2022, "Bread is the staple food of foolish societies. Because our society is satiated with bread, such administrators have been at the helm for 20 years." An ex officio investigation was launched against Kolivar for "publicly insulting the Turkish nation, the State of the Republic of Turkey, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the Government of the Republic of Turkey, and the judicial organs of the state" in accordance with Article 301/1 of the Turkish Penal Code, and he was detained by the police. Brought to the courthouse, Kolivar was arrested by the judgeship to which he was referred by the duty public prosecutor who interrogated him. A release order was later issued for Kolivar.
