HKP Chairman Nurullah Efe Ankut speaks to 12punto on cabinet reshuffle: 'Tayyip is chasing empty dreams'

'AKIN GÜRLEK HAS ALSO BEEN BROUGHT TO THE MOST EFFECTIVE POSITION AS TAYYİP ERDOĞAN’S ZEKERİYA'

Halkın Kurtuluş Partisi (HKP) Chairman Nurullah Efe Ankut commented on why Akın Gürlek was appointed Minister of Justice as follows: 

“Just as Zekeriya Öz was made the most effective prosecutor by FETÖ, Akın Gürlek has been brought to the most effective position as Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s Zekeriya. In other words, he has never failed Tayyip in his service.

We have said it before; the constitution, the law, the Constitutional Court, this and that, these are the 'Tayyipgiller' (the Tayyip clan). As we have said before, they are a criminal organization. An American-made, profit-oriented, medieval-like, mafioso criminal organization: the Tayyip clan.

His prosecutors are also suitable for him; he was brought in entirely because he is an extension of his master’s complex. What else was he brought in for? Now he has also brought in the Minister of Interior. He is also someone who visited the grave of İskilipli Atıf and is an enemy of the Kuvayi Milliye (National Forces) and the secular republic. When he was the governor of Erzurum, he even tried to demolish the high school where the Erzurum Congress was held; he could not do it because of the public reaction. They are all like 'Deli Kadir' (Crazy Kadir).

‘TAYYİP IS CHASING EMPTY DREAMS’

Ankut stated that AKP President Erdoğan has now begun to attack the institutional existence of the Republican People's Party (CHP) and believes that by bringing his son Bilal Erdoğan to the head of the country as his successor, he will 'escape being put on trial': 

“Now Tayyip has started to attack the institutional existence of the CHP as well: such as the arrest of mayors or pulling them to their side. They want to gradually criminalize, dismantle, and fragment the CHP institutionally so that they remain without rivals. Now they clearly and explicitly want to put Bilal in his place; he even sacrificed Hakan Fidan on this path to replace him. ‘I will go, Bilal will remain in my place.’ He thinks he will escape being put on trial this way, but it won't work.

Tayyip is chasing empty dreams; the moment he leaves, there will be no such thing as the AKP left. Just as there was no such thing as the DYP left the moment Demirel left, and no such thing as the ANAP left when Özal left, there will be no such thing as the AKP left when Tayyip leaves.

They will turn on each other with insults and curses over sharing the spoils. That is why Bilal won't work. Now he is fighting in a frantic state, saying, ‘at least let me stay in the seat until I die.’ This is now completely medieval; it has nothing to do with law or justice. He is bringing in people who take orders entirely from him (Tayyip). He said, ‘I do not comply with the Constitutional Court’s decision’; he is the same Tayyip. This one has also risen rapidly.”

‘THE SYSTEM WILL REGRESS EVEN FURTHER’

When asked what kind of atmosphere awaits Turkey after the cabinet reshuffle and what the CHP should do, HKP leader Ankut replied: 

“From now on, they will become even more aggressive, and the system will regress even further. Actually, look, the CHP does not say ‘we will hold you accountable.’ They resort to passive rhetoric.

This is our difference: ‘We will hold you accountable.’ In all our speeches and all our posts, we say, ‘You will be held accountable; you are mired in a thousand and one crimes.’ This makes them retreat, it scares them; they have no heart. They have the US behind them, they say ‘God and the Book’; for heaven's sake, they are also deceiving people. They don't have the heart of a rabbit.

But the opposition is also suitable for that. Because they are not like that, as we said, what happens if you stay on the defensive in a sports match just to avoid disturbing your comfort? Can you achieve success? They are all on the defensive. Whereas you should say, ‘You will be held accountable, you are lawless, you committed this corruption, you committed this theft, you sold the homeland, you will be held accountable for these.’”
