As citizens who spent the Ramadan Feast outside their home cities begin their return journeys, traffic density has increased in Kırıkkale, the 'key junction' located on the transit route for 43 provinces.
While long queues of vehicles have formed on the Kırıkkale-Ankara D200 highway, it was observed that in some areas, vehicles were moving bumper-to-bumper. On the Kayseri-Kırıkkale D765 highway, however, traffic flow remained steady. The heavy vehicle traffic was captured from the air by drone.
In order to accelerate traffic flow and prevent potential accidents, some intersections have been temporarily closed with concrete barriers, and traffic warning signs have been installed. Police and gendarmerie traffic teams are continuing their inspections and efforts to prevent any negative incidents on the highways.
