A horrific accident occurred during orientation week at a school in the Altınordu district of Ordu. A 7-year-old student struck by a teacher's vehicle in the schoolyard has lost their life.
A 7-year-old student struck by a teacher's vehicle in the schoolyard in the Altınordu district of Ordu has lost their life.
According to the information received, while teacher Banu Kaya was entering the courtyard of the Gazi Primary and Secondary School in Saray Neighborhood with her vehicle bearing license plate 52 BK 790, she struck student Miray Arslan, who had come to school as part of the orientation week.
Arslan, who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to Ordu Training and Research Hospital by 112 Emergency Health teams.
Despite the interventions there, the young child could not be saved.
Ordu Provincial Director of National Education Mehmet Fatih Vargeloğlu and Altınordu District Director of National Education Onur Bekyürek arrived at the hospital to convey their condolences to the father, Yakup, and mother, Eda Arslan.
Meanwhile, the driver, Kaya, was taken to the police station to provide a statement.
