Horrific accident in Esenler: Car crashes under a parked semi-truck

The accident occurred around 06:00 on Giyimkent Street in the Oruç Reis neighborhood of Esenler. According to the information obtained, the car with license plate 34 PE 7523, driven by a driver named Ufuk Kaplan and traveling at high speed, crashed under the semi-truck with license plate 66 ACC 608 parked on the side of the road.

Citizens passing by at that moment noticed the car trapped under the truck and reported the incident to police, fire, and medical teams. Upon the report, a large number of police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

The two people trapped inside the vehicle were rescued as a result of the efforts of the fire crews dispatched to the scene and were carried to an ambulance on stretchers. After receiving initial intervention at the scene, the injured were transported to the nearest hospital in the vicinity. It was learned that one of the injured is in critical condition.

"WE THOUGHT THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED"

Muhammet Özparlak, who happened to notice the vehicle trapped under the truck while passing by, stated, "We were going to the gas station. We thought the vehicle was parked. Loud music was playing. We stopped and notified the teams. One person was making sounds, there was no sound coming from the other. We parked the car and called the ambulance and the fire department."
