A horrific accident in Kadıköy shocked onlookers. An IETT bus, whose driver lost control of the steering, was impaled on a barrier like an arrow.
A tragic accident occurred in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul. According to allegations, the IETT bus with license plate 34 HO 3804, driven by Şevket K., crashed into roadside barriers after the driver lost control of the steering while approaching the Acıbadem Metro Station.
NO ONE WAS HARMED
Due to the impact, the barriers pierced halfway into the bus. There were no deaths or injuries in the accident, in which 5 passengers were on board. Upon notification, police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Police teams closed one lane to traffic and took security measures in the area. Fire crews arriving at the scene began work to remove the barriers that had pierced the bus. After approximately half an hour of work, the barriers embedded in the bus were removed by the teams. Traffic congestion on the D-100 Highway in the direction of Ankara returned to normal after the bus was removed. The police have launched an investigation into the accident.
