Horrific incident in Esenyurt... Teenager kills 14-year-old friend by strangulation after inhaling lighter fluid
In Istanbul's Esenyurt district, a 15-year-old child allegedly strangled his 14-year-old friend to death after the two had been inhaling lighter fluid together.
Four children who met in a vacant lot in Istanbul's Esenyurt district allegedly inhaled lighter fluid. After a while, 15-year-old Emrah A. began arguing and fighting with his 14-year-old friend, Yiğit Hamza Yüksel, for an unknown reason. During the fight, Yiğit Hamza was strangled to death. Emrah A. has been taken into custody.
THEY MET IN A VACANT LOT AND INHALED LIGHTER FLUID
According to a report by DHA, the incident occurred on Wednesday, July 31, at approximately 22:00 in the Akçaburgaz neighborhood. It is alleged that 4 friends, including Emrah A. and Yiğit H.Y., met in a vacant lot in their neighborhood. It was claimed that all 4 friends inhaled lighter fluid after chatting for a while.
After some time, 15-year-old Emrah A. grabbed his childhood friend, 14-year-old Yiğit H.Y., by the throat following an argument. The child, whose throat was squeezed for a long time, collapsed to the ground. Upon notification, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Yiğit H.Y. was taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention by medical teams at the scene. Despite all interventions at the hospital, the child could not be saved. His body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy.
Emrah A., who was taken into custody, was transferred to the Juvenile Bureau. The body of 14-year-old Yiğit H.Y., whose autopsy procedures were completed, was received from the Forensic Medicine Institute by his family.
