HÜDA PAR GİK member Tanrıkulu targets the Republic: 'I condemn the hostile steps taken against Islam and our civilizational values'

Sharing a post on his social media account on the anniversary of the abolition of the caliphate, HÜDA PAR GİK member Şeyhmus Tanrıkulu used expressions targeting the Republic. 

Tanrıkulu said, "One of the important milestones of the colonization process under the guise of Westernization/modernization, which began with the Tanzimat era and reached its peak during the Republican era, was the abolition of the caliphate institution, leaving the Islamic world leaderless."

Tanrıkulu's post is as follows:

"The 100th anniversary of the abolition of the caliphate institution... 

One of the important milestones of the colonization process under the guise of Westernization/modernization, which began with the Tanzimat era and reached its peak during the Republican era, was the abolition of the caliphate institution, leaving the Islamic world leaderless. Educational institutions that had spanned centuries, such as madrasas, were also closed, and Islamic education and lifestyle were banned.

During the single-party dictatorship era, the Muslim people of Anatolia were subjected to great pain and severe traumas through practices implemented by an elitist group in line with the agendas of imperialists.

The negative effects of this situation were not limited to Turkey alone. The fact that the leaderless Islamic world has had its will usurped for over 100 years by being divided and fragmented through physical, but mostly political, economic, and cultural occupations, is also the fundamental reason for the lack of a unity that would put a stop to the genocide being carried out in Gaza today.

On this occasion, on the 100th anniversary of the abolition of the caliphate institution, I condemn the hostile steps taken against Islam and our civilizational values. It is no coincidence that representatives of the same mentality are acting as spokespersons for imperialists today by labeling the Palestinian Resistance as 'terrorists'."
