Hulusi Akar makes 'Terror-Free Turkey' statement with a nod to 'village guards': We reached this point together
Chairman of the TBMM National Defense Commission and AKP Kayseri Deputy Hulusi Akar stated, "A terror-free Turkey will become a reality, believe in this. We will all believe in this. Hopefully, we will live much more happily, prosperously, and securely." It was noted that in his remarks, Akar also mentioned the village guards, a topic that has been on the agenda recently.
DEM Party member Bakırhan recently stated in a declaration that the terrorist organization PKK has laid down its arms, and therefore, there is no longer a need for village guards serving in the East and Southeast.
Bakırhan said, "We will not leave the village guards unemployed, hopefully. Take the weapon from his hand, give him a stick, let him tend to animals in the village. It is a more honorable duty."
While this statement by Bakırhan received harsh reactions, especially from the village guards, it was noted that AKP's Hulusi Akar also mentioned the village guards while making statements during a visit.
Akar, who came to Bingöl for various contacts, attended the award ceremony of the "AK Youth 3rd Traditional Inter-High School Carpet Pitch Football Tournament" organized by the AK Party Bingöl Provincial Youth Branch at a carpet pitch in the Karşıyaka neighborhood, along with Governor Ahmet Hamdi Usta and those accompanying him.
Akar later visited the AKP Provincial Headquarters.
Meeting with party members, Akar said that they have seen very positive developments in Bingöl.
Akar stated, "A terror-free Turkey will become a reality, believe in this. We will all believe in this. We, 86 million, will put our hands under the stone, and we will carry out the necessary work. Hopefully, we will live much more happily, prosperously, and securely."
Expressing that Turks, Kurds, Zazas, Arabs, and Circassians are all servants of God, Akar said, "We will work, we will develop, we will advance much further. We have not interfered with anyone's religion, ethnic origin, or sect. Our faith does not allow for this anyway."
Stating that they will solve today's problems one by one just as they solved the problems of 20 years ago, Akar emphasized that the basis of defense and security is national unity and solidarity.
Touching upon the process of a terror-free Turkey, Akar noted the following:
"As long as we are one and together, there is no obstacle we cannot overcome and no problem we cannot solve. Let us be careful against all kinds of sedition and corruption. Regarding a terror-free Turkey, our President and Mr. Devlet Bahçeli said, 'We will solve this issue.' Progress on this matter continues. We will be cautious and careful against all kinds of provocation and disinformation because it will not suit some people's interests.
Our armed forces, security forces, police, gendarmerie, and village guards have all reached this point shoulder to shoulder.
Hopefully, we will continue our work together from now on as well. We will continue to carry out our work for the defense of our borders and our country. We always commemorate our martyrs with respect. May they be well, may they exist."
