Hungry bears destroy beehives in Muş

Bears that entered the garden of a citizen named Semih Akman, who lives in Yamaç Village in the Muş city center, destroyed 26 beehives.

Bears that descended into Yamaç Village, located in the Muş city center, destroyed beehives. Citizens have begun returning to Yamaç Village, which was evacuated in 1993 due to terrorist incidents, following the establishment of an environment of trust and peace.

Akman, who settled in his village and started beekeeping, was shocked by the scene he encountered when he went to check on his bees in the morning. Seeing that the beehives had been torn apart and the bees had scattered, Akman informed his other relatives living in the village.

Akman, who bought beehives with all his savings and settled in the village years later, stated that he suffered a loss of 100 thousand TL, saying, “I have been beekeeping in the entire village for three years. When I went to check on my bees in the morning, I saw my hives in a destroyed state. 

I was stunned by this situation. Later, I informed my relatives living in the village. We realized that bears had destroyed the hives. Following the bear attack, our bees in the hives scattered. I have a loss of approximately 100 thousand TL.”
