İbrahim Tatlıses visits individual wanted by Interpol Red Notice in Batumi: Posed for photo with his 20 children

Famous singer İbrahim Tatlıses visited the founder of Metro Turizm, Galip Öztürk, who is wanted under an Interpol Red Notice, at his home in Batumi. Announcing the visit on his social media account, Tatlıses wrote a note under the photo saying, “I visited my brother Galip Öztürk at his home in Batumi… I hope they have a good year with his children.” The photo drew attention as it featured all 20 of Öztürk’s children together.

Galip Öztürk was sentenced to life imprisonment in the case where he was tried as the instigator of the murder of Kuvvet Köseoğlu, committed in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, in 1996. 

Following the Supreme Court of Appeals' confirmation of the verdict, Öztürk, who was required to surrender for the execution of his sentence, fled abroad. Upon Turkey's request, Interpol issued a Red Notice for him.

The murder of Kuvvet Köseoğlu took place in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, in 1996. During the judicial process, Galip Öztürk was found guilty as the instigator of the murder. After his sentence was finalized in 2018, Öztürk, who was supposed to enter prison, left Turkey and became a fugitive. It was determined that Öztürk is in the city of Batumi, Georgia, where he continues his business life with investments in shopping malls and hotels.
