Identity of body found in sea with hands and feet bound has been identified
It has been revealed that the male body found in the sea with its hands and feet bound in the İzmit district of Kocaeli belongs to 69-year-old İbrahim Demir.
Fishermen who set out to sea from Ömer Türkçakal Boulevard reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center after seeing a person motionless in the water about 400 meters from the shore. Police teams were dispatched upon the report. Diver police officers from the Kocaeli Police Department's Sea Port Branch, who arrived at the scene, recovered the body from the water. It was determined that the body's hands and feet were bound. During the investigation, it was learned that the body belonged to 69-year-old İbrahim Demir. The lifeless body was taken to the Kocaeli State Hospital morgue for an autopsy following the examinations at the scene.

Teams from the Kocaeli Police Department's Public Security Branch have launched a multi-faceted investigation to shed light on the incident.
