According to the information obtained, her father, Osman Elmas, who lives in Istanbul, filed a missing person report after being unable to reach his daughter, Merve Şevval Elmas, a first-year student in the Gastronomy Department at Akdeniz University, since January 4, and the Provincial Police Department teams had launched a search to find the young woman.

DNA RESULTS ARE IN

Following the discovery of a female body on the beach in the Serik district on Saturday, January 20, it was decided to take DNA samples from her family due to the possibility that the body belonged to Elmas, who had gone missing in the city on January 4.

Father Elmas, who came to Antalya from Istanbul on Sunday, January 21, provided a DNA sample for his daughter after receiving information from the authorities. According to the DNA results, it has been confirmed that the female body that washed ashore in Serik belongs to Merve Şevval Elmas.

It was learned that Elmas's body will be taken from the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue and buried in Istanbul.
