Illegal migrants found in car trunk
In Afyonkarahisar, 6 foreign nationals, including one child, who entered the country illegally were caught by police, with two of the individuals found inside the trunk of a car.
According to the information obtained, teams took action after receiving intelligence that illegal migrants would be arriving in the city.
The teams set up a checkpoint near the Konya Viaduct at the city entrance and stopped a car with license plate 42 ATT 754, driven by an individual identified as A.H.
Upon checking the identities of the people in the vehicle, the teams realized that the 6 individuals, including one child, were Syrian nationals who had entered the country illegally and lacked documentation.
While two of the individuals were caught in the trunk of the vehicle, the 6 people, along with the driver A.H., were taken into custody following a body search.
