Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made a statement on his social media account. Drawing attention to the drought, İmamoğlu used the following expressions;

“AT RECORD LEVELS”

"This is a call for conservation and an end to waste.

According to the data we have, while Istanbul is experiencing one of its driest periods, water consumption is unfortunately at record levels.

*Daily usage is at the level of 3.5 million cubic meters. Responsibility falls on each of our citizens."
