İmamoğlu issues warning without naming names, citing Yozgat farmer: 'Take a look and learn some discernment and foresight'

The 'Standing Up for the National Will' rally, which the CHP organizes every weekend in a different province of Turkey, was held in Yozgat.

Addressing the crowd that filled the square from the rally bus, Yozgat farmer Abdullah Ceylan said,

"I gave an interview as a farmer. They have fined me 1 million liras.

If you don't fine me 100 million liras, you are cowards. I am calling out to the farmers who do not seek their rights and do not follow the value of their goods.

As long as this order continues this way, we will not be able to escape hunger, misery, and incompetence.

We will tear down this order, we will tear it down, we will tear it down... I recommend this: A person who governs the state cannot run a state with 'radishes and turnips.' It is governed by justice and law. We will hold them accountable when the time comes."

İMAMOĞLU: TAKE A LOOK AND LEARN SOME DISCERNMENT AND FORESIGHT

Ceylan's words were featured in a social media post by CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is currently detained in Silivri.

Sharing an image containing Ceylan's words, İmamoğlu wrote, "Every citizen of this country, from seven to seventy, sees what is happening in all its nakedness.

No one will be intimidated by these lies, slanders, provocations, and conspiracies.

What did you take the peasants and farmers of this country for?

Take a look and learn some discernment and foresight from these words: 'A state cannot be governed with radishes and turnips. It is governed by justice and law.'" he stated.
