İmamoğlu makes his first post from Silivri: 'The nation has told Erdoğan enough is enough'

The first statement has come from Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu following his arrest and transfer to Silivri Prison on allegations of "rigging tenders, recording personal data, bribery, and forming an organization" as part of an investigation into the IMM regarding "corruption" charges.

While giving a message regarding the primary, İmamoğlu included the words 'The nation has told Erdoğan enough is enough':

Here is İmamoğlu's post:

I want to share with you some news from Silivri Prison that makes me very happy.

A record level of participation took place in our Republican People's Party's presidential primary.

15 million of our citizens cast their votes. Tens of millions in this country, who have been hurt by the government's oppression, the ruined economy, incompetence, and lawlessness, rushed to the ballot boxes.

They told Erdoğan "enough is enough."

I send my greetings to the millions shouting tonight in Saraçhane and in squares all across my country.

That ballot box will come, and the nation will deal this government a slap it will never forget.
