İmamoğlu makes significant remarks in holiday message: Our political approach is nourished from here
CHP Presidential Candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu has released a holiday message.
Sharing a post from his Presidential Candidate Office account, İmamoğlu emphasized justice, stating, "Holidays only become true holidays in a country where there is justice and where no one feels excluded."
İmamoğlu stated, "Our people know how to look out for their neighbors, not to forget those in need, and to keep their doors and hearts open. Our political approach is nourished exactly from here: A dream of a Turkey that puts people at the center, leaves no one behind, and is built on justice and conscience."
The message shared from İmamoğlu's social media accounts is as follows:
"The Day of Arafah... It is a very precious time that stands on the threshold of the holiday, when hearts soften and people remember one another. In our religion, Arafah is a day when the doors of forgiveness, pardon, and sharing are opened wide. Our elders used to say, 'Prayers made on the Day of Arafah are not turned away, and broken hearts are mended.' Because this day is not just a date on the calendar; it is a day when conscience, compassion, and brotherhood are remembered once again.
The duty that falls upon us today is exactly this. To understand instead of breaking one another, to embrace instead of dividing... To strive for every person in this beautiful country to live a life of dignity, justice, and peace... Because holidays only become true holidays in a country where there is justice and where no one feels excluded.
Our people know how to look out for their neighbors, not to forget those in need, and to keep their doors and hearts open. Our political approach is nourished exactly from here: A dream of a Turkey that puts people at the center, leaves no one behind, and is built on justice and conscience.
I hope that this Day of Arafah will be a beginning in our country where peace replaces resentment, justice replaces injustice, and faith in a strong future replaces hopelessness. May the blessings of the holiday spread not only to our tables but also to the governance of our country.
I believe that one day we will meet again in a Turkey where our children wake up with smiles in their eyes on holiday mornings, and where people embrace one another without fear or anxiety. Only then will we experience the true joy of the holiday together.
I wholeheartedly celebrate the Day of Arafah and the Eid al-Fitr of our entire nation and the Islamic world. With the wish for a Turkey where our prayers are accepted and our hearts are united... May our holiday be blessed."
