Reactions are growing like an avalanche following the reading of the decision in Parliament to revoke Can Atalay's parliamentary membership.
While many figures have reacted to this decision, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor İmamoğlu did not remain silent.
Stating that Can Atalay is an elected member of parliament, İmamoğlu made the following statement:
"No one's will is above the nation's. Can Atalay is the elected deputy for Hatay. Everyone who sees themselves above the law, the parliament, the constitution, and the national will shall eventually answer to the nation."
