Reacting to the AKP's investigations into CHP-run municipalities as an attack on the 'national will,' İmamoğlu made a striking statement on his social media account.

In a message shared from the Presidential Candidate Office's social media account, Ekrem İmamoğlu stated: "You are seizing the national will. You are seizing the nation's municipalities. You are seizing the assets of Istanbul and Izmir.

You are seizing the nation's property, assets, money, and diplomas.

Worse still: As you do this, justice collapses, the economy collapses, education collapses.

Peace, tranquility, and trust are collapsing! This mindset, which thinks everything that belongs to the nation belongs to itself, is subjecting Turkey to the lawlessness and insolence of the century.

It is time to embrace reason, courage, perseverance, and determination. It is time to be the guardians of the Republic, democracy, and Turkey!"
