Imamoglu's advisor Murat Ongun explains: How much was paid for the IMM's house in Paris?

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) rented a house at the famous fashion museum, Palais Galliera, in Paris to promote Istanbul for its bid to host the 2036 Olympic Games. 

The 'Istanbul House' was opened in collaboration with the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and the National Olympic Committee to ensure Istanbul is selected to host the 2036 Olympic Games.

It was alleged that the daily rent for the house rented by the IMM was 300,000 euros.

'EXPENSES WERE COVERED BY UNCONDITIONAL DONATIONS FROM SPONSORS'

Murat Ongun, an advisor to IMM Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, denied the '300,000 euro' claim and disclosed the actual amount paid.

Emphasizing that 'the expenses were covered by unconditional donations from sponsors,' Murat Ongun shared the following statement on social media: 

'The information reflected in the public domain regarding the 'Istanbul House' in Paris is incorrect. The weekly rent for the house is 249,000 euros, and all expenses were covered by unconditional donations from sponsors. No money was spent from the IMM budget for this important international promotional activity on the path to Istanbul's Olympic bid. Please do not rely on misleading information.'
