İmamoğlu shares his mailing address: I continue to listen to you, learn from you, and work very hard

Presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who stated that he has been reading the thousands of letters sent to him at the Marmara Prison in Silivri, where he has been detained since March 23, has shared his mailing address.

İmamoğlu, who faces up to 23 centuries in prison in the İBB indictment prepared over 237 days, shared an emotional message on his social media account regarding the letters sent to him.

İmamoğlu's social media post is as follows:

"My Dear Pen Pals;

I have read thousands of your letters to date. You have given me strength and support. You have become my companions and comrades.

You have hosted me in your villages, districts, cities, and even in your homes in different parts of the world as your child, brother, or older brother. Every sentence of yours made me feel this.

I have received magnificent letters from those who have just learned to read and write,

From parents writing on behalf of their babies and young children,

From mothers writing about the feelings of their unborn babies, and I have experienced very beautiful emotions.

In short, I have been liberated by the power and strength of the words of our people from every segment, every age, every region, and every background. I continue to listen to you, learn from you, and work very hard.

The letters I receive from fellow inmates in different prisons hold a special place.

Due to the high volume at the prison, I look forward to receiving your letters at the address below. I will continue to read what you write and share your burdens.
