İmamoğlu shares post regarding operation at Adana Metropolitan Municipality

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted to the operation carried out against the Adana Metropolitan Municipality.

An operation was carried out at the Adana Metropolitan Municipality yesterday morning (December 18, 2023) over 'bribery' allegations. A large number of people, including one of the Metropolitan Municipality Mayor's advisors, were detained.

In a statement published on his social media account, İmamoğlu reacted to the operation in question. Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that the operation aims to manage public perception.

İmamoğlu’s social media post is as follows:

“Our Republican People's Party municipalities have been subjected to more inspector audits than ever before in history during this period. For years, everything has been scrutinized, and no irregularities have been found.

The timing of the operation carried out against our Adana Metropolitan Municipality today is once again suspicious and is clearly aimed at managing public perception.

We stand with our Mayor Zeydan Karalar.”
