İmamoğlu thanks Ümit Özdağ for 'humanitarian and legal sensitivity': He shared my justified complaint
CHP's presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held at the Marmara Prison in Silivri, thanked Zafer Party leader Ümit Özdağ for his visit.
İmamoğlu stated, "As someone who was also unjustly imprisoned for 148 days, he stood by me with both humanitarian and legal sensitivity regarding the process I am experiencing."
Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ visited the imprisoned Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu at the Marmara Prison in Silivri. İmamoğlu thanked Özdağ on his social media account.
İmamoğlu's social media post is as follows:
"Zafer Party Chairman Mr. Ümit Özdağ came to visit me in Silivri today. As someone who was also unjustly imprisoned for 148 days, he stood by me with both humanitarian and legal sensitivity regarding the process I am experiencing.
Upon leaving the prison, he reminded the public that there is no conviction against me and shared my justified complaint regarding the audio and video ban with the public.
I thank the Chairman for this visit, which is an important example of solidarity in the name of democracy, law, and human dignity."
