Imamoglu's lawyer Polat on the 'fool case': 'It is natural to have other requests'

Kemal Polat, the lawyer for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu, stated regarding the case publicly known as the "Fool Case," "It is natural to have requests for the recusal of a judge and other requests during judicial processes.

Instead of trying to drag the change of judge in the 'fool case' into this and make it a subject of debate, the allegations regarding pressure being applied on the judge to issue a conviction should be investigated," he said.

This is what is essential in a state of law. Any contrary attitude will not heal the wounded sense of justice. It is more important and necessary for the applications made to the HSK on this matter to be handled with seriousness."
