IMM announces: Public transport in Istanbul will be free on LGS exam day
As part of the High School Entrance System (LGS) exam to be held in Istanbul on Sunday, June 15, students taking the exam and personnel assigned to the exam will be able to use public transport vehicles free of charge.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) has completed the necessary preparations to ensure that students taking the LGS exam and personnel assigned to the exam can use public transport free of charge.
IETT buses, private public buses, Metrobus, metro, tram, funicular, cable car, nostalgic tram, Tunnel, and City Lines ferries integrated into the Istanbulkart system will be included in the scope of the application.
Students who wish to benefit from the free public transport service will be able to do so by showing their exam entry documents, while assigned personnel will be able to use the service by showing their official duty identification cards.
HOW LONG WILL IT BE VALID?
The application will come into effect two hours before the exam starts at 09:30, i.e., at 07:30, and will continue for two hours after the exam ends, until 13:00.
