IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted on social media to the 'Newborn Gang' scandal that emerged in Büyükçekmece. Describing the revealed conversations as blood-curdling, İmamoğlu stated, "It is my hope that anyone who has become so devoid of conscience as to threaten the lives of newborn babies will be punished to the fullest extent."
The "Newborn Gang" that emerged in Büyükçekmece has exposed an organization that obtained illicit gains from the Social Security Institution (SGK) by misrepresenting the health status of infant patients.
The gang's revealed conversations are blood-curdling, as they include discussions where members mocked the babies and showed complete disregard for their lives.
'IT IS MY HOPE THAT THEY ARE PUNISHED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT'
IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, in a post on X regarding the incident, stated the following:
"The conversations that emerged while these criminals and gangs were profiting from the deaths of newborn babies are blood-curdling. Unfortunately, we are witnessing terrifying and alarming developments in our country every day. It is my hope that anyone who has become so devoid of conscience as to threaten the lives of newborn babies will be punished to the fullest extent."
