IMM shares data: Traffic density reaches 65 percent
Traffic congestion is being experienced in some parts of Istanbul during the morning hours of the third workday of the week. According to the IMM Traffic Density Map data, traffic density in the city has risen to an average of 65 percent.
On the Anatolian Side, congestion is observed on the D-100 highway in the Tuzla, Pendik, and Kartal locations in the direction of Kadıköy. While traffic flows smoothly in the opposite direction from Maltepe to Pendik, vehicles are moving slowly after the Pendik Bridge.
Traffic congestion starting from Bostancı continues up to the Eurasia Tunnel and the entrance to the 15 July Martyrs Bridge.
On the TEM Highway, vehicles are also struggling to move in the Edirne direction from Kartal to the Çamlıca toll booths, and in the Ankara direction up to the Kurtköy junction.
The traffic jam starting in Ataşehir also continues up to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge.
CONGESTION AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE 15 JULY MARTYRS BRIDGE
On the European Side, traffic is moving slowly between Beylikdüzü and Avcılar on the D-100 highway in the direction of Ankara, while traffic is intensifying in the Haramidere location in the direction of Edirne due to the effect of merging from connecting roads.
Traffic congestion starting at the Haliç Bridge continues up to the entrance of the 15 July Martyrs Bridge.
Passenger density is also being experienced at metrobus, metro, and IETT and tram stations and transfer points across the city.
At main public transport stops such as Altunizade, Mecidiyeköy, and Cevizlibağ, passengers are occasionally having difficulty boarding vehicles due to the density.
