Immunity files for Özgür Özel and 3 MPs are in the TBMM
The request to lift the parliamentary immunity of four deputies, including CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, has been brought to the Parliament's agenda.
A total of five immunity files have been referred to the Joint Committee by the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The files were sent to the Joint Committee, consisting of members of the Constitutional and Justice Commissions, for the purpose of lifting legislative immunity.
Among the notable names on the list is Republican People's Party Chairman and Manisa Deputy Özgür Özel. It has been learned that there are two separate immunity files for Özel that have been submitted to Parliament. Additionally, files have been prepared regarding CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal, CHP İzmir Deputy Murat Bakan, and IYI Party Kocaeli Deputy Lütfü Türkkan.
Details regarding the content and grounds for these files are expected to be announced in the coming days. The files to be handled by the Joint Committee will be evaluated in the committee before reaching the General Assembly of Parliament.
