A 4.4-magnitude earthquake occurred in Bingöl at 08:01 this morning. According to AFAD data, the earthquake, which had its epicenter in the Yedisu district, was recorded at a depth of 7 kilometers.

Geoscientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür shared his assessment of the earthquake on his social media account.
In his post, Görür stated, "A shallow 4.3-magnitude earthquake occurred in Güzgülü, Yedisu-Bingöl. This is a very dangerous area where we are expecting an earthquake. It could either trigger a major earthquake or increase the stress. May God grant what is best."
