Imprisoned journalist Fatih Ergin transferred to a different prison
Journalist Fatih Ergin, who was arrested on charges of “publicly disseminating misleading information,” has been transferred from Metris Prison to the Marmara No. 1 L-Type Penal Institution in Silivri.

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, Ergin, who was sent to Metris Prison following the arrest decision, has been transferred to the Marmara No. 1 L-Type Penal Institution in Silivri.
WHAT HAPPENED?
An investigation was launched against Ergin due to a social media post regarding the Kaşif Kozinoğlu file.
In his post regarding the death of Turgay Tamer, Ergin identified Tamer as a former Forensic Medicine employee. Ergin later corrected his post, stating that Tamer had previously served as a campus doctor in the prison.
Ergin, who had been detained twice before, was arrested and sent to prison under the latest investigation on charges of “publicly disseminating misleading information.”
