A release decision has been issued for journalist İsmail Arı, who had been in prison for 75 days!
BirGün reporter İsmail Arı, who had been imprisoned for 75 days, appeared before a judge for the first time. Due to the large crowd, the courtroom was changed and moved to a larger hall.
İsmail Arı, who faces up to 8 years in prison, was brought into the courtroom to the sound of applause.

Completing his defense, İsmail Arı stated that he was being punished for practicing journalism and requested his acquittal.
Following the defense statements of Arı and his lawyers, the prosecutor requested the continuation of the detention of İsmail Arı, who has been held in prison for 2.5 months. After the lawyers' objections, the presiding judge announced the decision and ordered Arı's release.
