It has emerged that tax reductions and incentives were granted to Anagold Madencilik A.Ş., the operator of the cyanide gold mine in İliç, Erzincan.
It has been revealed that Anagold Madencilik A.Ş., which operates the mine in Erzincan that previously made headlines due to a cyanide leak and where a landslide occurred 6 days ago, received an investment incentive worth 1 billion 337 thousand TL in 2015.
According to a report by Cengiz Karagöz from Cumhuriyet, it was observed that under this incentive, the company was granted a customs duty exemption, employer's share support for insurance premiums for seven years, VAT exemption, a 90 percent tax reduction, VAT refund, and interest support.
It was stated that within the scope of the incentive, Anagold Madencilik A.Ş. would produce 10 tons of dore gold annually and employ 232 people as part of the investment.
