A passenger plane belonging to the Indian airline Air Vistara, which was on a flight from India to Germany, made an emergency landing at Erzurum Airport due to a bomb threat. After the plane landed safely at the airport, it was directed to the apron and the evacuation of passengers began.
INTENSIVE SECURITY MEASURES TAKEN
Extensive security measures were taken at Erzurum Airport following the bomb threat. Bomb disposal experts from the Erzurum Police Department were dispatched to the area and began inspecting the aircraft. Meanwhile, other flights scheduled to depart from the airport were not permitted to take off.

According to the information received, AFAD, medical, police, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the airport following the plane's emergency landing.
It was reported that the passengers on the plane were evacuated and a detailed search of the cabin and cargo hold was initiated.
'ERZURUM AIRSPACE CLOSED TO FLIGHTS'
Erzurum Governor Mustafa Çiftçi told an AA reporter that there were 247 passengers and crew on board the plane.
Çiftçi stated, "Currently, the teams are on the field searching the luggage. AFAD teams have safely evacuated the passengers. Our security, police special operations, and all our teams are on the field. All our teams have taken security measures inside and around the plane. Erzurum airspace has been closed to flights."
